9.12 Kinetics MarCom has been retained by Montgomery County for Education Campaign
Montgomery County has hired Kinetics MarCom to work on its upcoming campaign to educate the public about the new ambulance reimbursement program. The Montgomery County Council passed legislation in May that created the reimbursement program, less than two years after voters rejected a similar fee in 2010 in a referendum. The new law requires the county to conduct an outreach education campaign before and after it starts billing both public and private insurers between $400 and $800 per ambulance ride on Jan. 1, 2013.
The county hopes to ensure this campaign is “fresh,” county spokesman Patrick Lacefield said.
“We wanted to try and get again someone to collaborate with us to come up with some, you know, fresh approaches to communicating on the reimbursement law and mapping out an outreach strategy,” he said.
Kinetics ranked 24th by Washington Business Journal. Washington's preeminent business newspaper listed Kinetics Marketing & Communications as the 24th largest media relations firm in the Washington, D.C. area. The ranking appeared in the publication's Book of Lists for 2011.
